Union Minister Smriti Irani expressed her horror at the inhumane content and personally reached out to Manipur’s Chief Minister N Biren Singh. Prominent leaders such as Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Jairam Ramesh, Sachin Pilot, Aaditya Thackeray, Priyanka Chaturvedi, Mahua Moitra, and Saket Gokhale have strongly condemned the incident, urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi to address the escalating violence in Manipur since May 3.

As the government initiated measures to control the spread of the video on social media, Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi criticized the move, interpreting it as a sign of desperation and an acknowledgment of the government’s inability to contain violence and disinformation.
